What is a spam email?
Spam emails (also called junk emails) are unsolicited (and usually unwanted) messages sent in bulk via email.
“Most email spam messages are commercial in nature. Whether commercial or not, many are not only annoying as a form of attention theft, but also dangerous because they may contain links that lead to phishing web sites or sites that are hosting malware or include malware as file attachments.
Spammers collect email addresses from chat rooms, websites, customer lists, newsgroups, and viruses that harvest users’ address books. These collected email addresses are sometimes also sold to other spammers.”
Remember: do not click links in spam emails
If you use webmail, you can “allow” or “block” specific email addresses and/or domains to help reduce the number of spam emails arriving in your inbox.

How to report spam and phishing emails to Junara
The spam detection software we use is highly sophisticated and has numerous ways to determine what should be classified as spam. To further inform what is classified as spam, we invite you to report spam and phishing emails received in your inbox.
Reporting spam and phishing via webmail
If your email has been transferred to Junara and you use our webmail, you can report spam and phishing easily by following these steps:
1. Click on an email;
2. Click on the three dots at the top right of your webmail screen; and
3. Click on “Report spam” or “Report phishing”.
Reporting spam and phishing via third-party email clients
Please follow these steps, which vary depending on your email client and if your email account has been transferred to Junara.
